Many people experiencing spiritual growth feel isolated.
Not because they are alone.
Because they lack community.
1 American Shaman connects thoughtful, grounded people navigating similar experiences.
You do not need someone to give you all the answers. You need a trusted place to grow while discovering your own.

1 American Shaman was created to help people balance extraordinary experiences with ordinary life — to live grounded, generous, and wide awake in modern America.
What does spiritual awakening in modern life actually look like?
For me, it looked like a 4:11 a.m. wake-up.
A quick kiss goodbye to my husband before work. A cup of coffee with the dog at my feet. A weather app predicting rain. A moon app reminding me when to plant flowers, prune hedges, or simply pay attention to the rhythms of nature.
In other words, it looked surprisingly ordinary.
Many people imagine spiritual awakening as a dramatic event. In reality, it often unfolds quietly while life continues around us.
Yet something inside begins to change.
You may notice heightened intuition, vivid dreams, meaningful synchronicities, a stronger connection to nature, or a growing sense that life is larger than you once believed.
Between 2020 and 2023, I experienced a series of profound awakening events. They were preceded by years of searching for answers. I read books from every spiritual tradition I could find. I explored practices, philosophies, rituals, and techniques. I wanted to understand what was happening to me.
As my awareness expanded, I often found myself wanting to withdraw from the world. I imagined becoming a hermit. I wanted to spend my days immersed in spiritual experiences while leaving behind the responsibilities of everyday life.
Then a trusted friend changed everything.
As I described my desire to leave the world behind, she reached across the table, took both of my hands, and quietly said:
“God is not the one chasing you to the rim of fire.”
Something shifted.
I realized that spiritual growth was never meant to separate me from life.
It was meant to deepen my participation in it.
That insight transformed my understanding of awakening.
Spiritual development is not about escaping family, careers, technology, community, or responsibility.
It is about learning how to bring greater wisdom, compassion, intuition, and purpose into every area of life.
Today, I believe the most important part of spiritual awakening is not the experience itself.
It is learning how to live afterward.
That is why 1 American Shaman exists.
We are teachers, gardeners, veterans, parents, entrepreneurs, healthcare workers, mechanics, analysts, artists, and lifelong learners.
We come from different backgrounds, but we share a common journey.
Together, we are learning how to weave ancient wisdom into modern life while remaining grounded, responsible, and connected to one another.
Because awakening is not a solo path.
Awakening takes community.
And perhaps most importantly, awakening reminds us that extraordinary possibilities can exist within an ordinary life.

Welcome to 1 American Shaman — a place where the extraordinary happens to ordinary folks. Families, gardens, careers, retreats, books… none of it could have prepared us for the spiritual awakening that thrust us into the 5th dimension. And then what? What do we do after our awakenings?
“Awakening is not pretty, but it is pretty common. Truth begins to unravel reality before your eyes.”

This week, the topic is Leaving Home — more precisely, allowing life-changes to happen and letting go of the reins to let Source take the lead. This level of surrender, when it concerns family, livelihood, or children, is like walking into the forest at sunset without a lamp, map, or compass.
“Sometimes the hardest steps in leaving home are the choices we make to allow change.”
